How we work
We sell few products. That is the result, not the starting point.
The red light therapy market is saturated with devices whose irradiance nobody publishes, sold with invented reviews and illegal therapeutic promises. Here are the rules we hold ourselves to so we are not part of it.

In short
Antared selects and distributes red light therapy devices. We are not a laboratory, we run no clinical trials, and we promise no effect on any disease. What we can do is publish the parameters, cite the sources and flag the limits — including the ones that work against us.
- Every study we cite carries its DOI, the permanent identifier that opens the original paper. Never a post summarising a newswire summarising a press release.
- Irradiance is always given with its measurement distance (mW/cm² at X cm). Without a distance the number means nothing — and yet that is how it is displayed almost everywhere.
- No rating, no review, no counter written by hand. Until there are verified customer reviews, there are no stars. Publishing a fictitious rating is a misleading commercial practice under French consumer law.
- No retouched before / after, no lighting change between two shots, no generated image. Absent an honest photo, we would rather show nothing.
- 14 days to try it at home and send it back if the device does not fit your week, 2 years of warranty on every device in the range.
- No therapeutic promise, on any page. Our devices are wellness products: they do not diagnose, treat or cure any disease.

Four principles
What decides whether a product joins the range.
These principles turn into concrete criteria further down. If they are not met, the device does not come in, however good the margin is.
One format per real use
A knee wrap exists because a panel lights a bent knee badly. A mask exists because holding a panel in front of your face for twenty minutes does not survive a real week. We do not add a format to pad out a catalogue.
Numbers you can check
Exact wavelengths in nanometres, irradiance with the distance it was measured at, area covered. An LED count on its own means nothing, and we refuse to headline it as though it did. The comparison method is set out in how it works.
The right to say no
Most devices we test never go on sale. A product that delivers less than its spec sheet, runs too hot to be worn, or whose manufacturer refuses to share measurements is dropped without discussion.

We cite every study with its DOI
The permanent identifier of the paper, opening the original publication. Not a blog post summarising a newswire summarising a press release.
We flag a study's limitations
A twenty-person sample, manufacturer funding, an effect measured on a biological marker rather than on how you feel: it is written next to the result, not in a footnote.
We publish irradiance with its distance
Irradiance without a measurement distance is a number with no usable unit. It always appears as mW/cm² at X cm.
No hand-written reviews or ratings
Ratings shown on this site come only from verified customer reviews. Until there are any, there are no stars. Publishing a fictitious rating is a misleading commercial practice under French consumer law.

Does Antared manufacture its devices?
No. Antared selects and distributes red light therapy devices: we are neither a manufacturer nor a laboratory, and we run no clinical trials. What we control is what joins the range, the parameters we publish, and what we allow ourselves to write.
Why are there so few products in the catalogue?
Because a format only joins the range if it answers a use the others do not cover, and if its manufacturer publishes irradiance at a stated distance. One more device doing what another already does, only worse, helps nobody choose: it lengthens the page and nothing else.
Why are there no stars or reviews on this site?
Because the ratings shown here come only from verified customer reviews, and until there are any, there are no stars. Writing a rating by hand would be a misleading commercial practice under French consumer law. We would rather have an empty section than an invented score.
What happens if the device does not suit me?
You have 14 days to try it at home and send it back if it does not fit your week. That is the only thing that really matters: a device you do not use has an efficacy of zero, whatever its nanometres. Every device in the range carries a 2-year warranty.
Why do you promise no result?
Because we do not have the data to. None of the studies we cite was run on an Antared device, and claiming that a wellness product acts on a disease would be a prohibited therapeutic claim. We would rather publish our parameters and let you compare them against the trials.
How can I check what you claim?
By following the links. Every study we cite carries its DOI, which opens the original paper; every irradiance is given with its measurement distance; every page states what it does not say. If you find one of those rules broken, write to us: that is a bug, not a strategy.
How do you choose a device's wavelengths?
On the parameters published in the literature, not on what sells best. The detail of each spectrum and its role is on wavelengths, and the dose figures on how it works: those two pages are authoritative, including for our own product pages.

Put it into practice

If you are hesitating between two formats, the useful question is not which is more powerful, but which one you will still be using in three months. 14 days to check that at home, 2 years of warranty.
