Home Full-body session

Protocol — full body

Two sides, twenty minutes, nothing to decide.

The full-body session swaps choosing an area for choosing a slot: instead of targeting, you expose the front, then the back. It needs a large panel or a dome, and twenty minutes ahead of you. In exchange it removes the question that makes people abandon the other protocols: which area today?

For anyone with a large-format device who prefers one session to several targeted passes.

The session

Four numbers, nothing left to guess

These values come from our How it works page. They are not specific to this protocol: they hold for all of them, and it is the moment that changes.

When

When you have twenty uninterrupted minutes

Duration

10 minutes per side, so 20 minutes in total

Distance

30 to 50 cm from the panel, standing or seated

Frequency

3 to 4 sessions a week

How to run it

The session, in order

Step back

Thirty to fifty centimetres: at large format, distance serves coverage as much as dose.

Ten minutes facing

Device timer on, goggles in place. Do not look at the panel.

Ten minutes with your back

Same duration, same distance. A forgotten side is half the session.

Always the same order

Front then back, every time. A fixed order stops you wondering where you were.

The spectrum involved

What these wavelengths do, and where

630 nm

Red — skin

Epidermis and superficial dermis. The part of the spectrum acting closest to the surface.

660 nm

Red — dermis

The most studied red wavelength in the field, present across almost the entire range.

850 nm

Near-infrared

The most widespread near-infrared across the range. It is the one producing the mild warmth at close range.

The mistakes that cost the most

  • Standing right against the panel to go faster. Coverage degrades and nothing accelerates.
  • Doing forty minutes once a week. Four twenty-minute sessions beat one eighty-minute session.
  • Skipping goggles because it is full body. A large panel is brighter, not less.
  • Confusing heat with intensity. A dome heats by design; heat says nothing about the light dose.

Framing

What this session does not do

Antared devices are wellness products, without medical-device CE marking. What follows is not stylistic caution: it is the exact boundary of what a usage protocol may state.

This is not a medical sauna

A dome heats, and heat has its own contraindications. When in doubt, ask a doctor.

It replaces no targeted session

Exposing the whole body spreads the dose; it concentrates nothing on a specific joint.

It treats nothing

Not pain, not inflammation, not any condition. That is neither what the device does nor what it may claim.

It is no substitute for moving

Recovery rests first on sleep, food, and training load.

For a more complete session, Antared offers two full-body formats: a large-format panel and an enclosed dome.

Option 1 — Antared PANO ULTRA

  • Large-format red and near-infrared panel
  • Stand or sit facing the panel at a comfortable distance
  • 20–30 minutes

Option 2 — Antared Sauna Dome

  • 1,120 red and near-infrared LEDs, PEMF (4 coils, 1–30Hz), and 3-zone infrared heat in one enclosed session
  • Choose your temperature (25–90°C dome, 25–80°C mat) and duration (5–60 minutes) from the control box

Both are built for a slower, more complete session rather than a quick daily habit — a good fit for once or twice a week.
